Fish sodhi

Ingredients:

Small fish like herring or medium sized any fish with head on 250 Gms
Onions 1 large
Green chillies 5
Turmeric powder ½ teaspoons
Coconut milk or milk 2 cups
Lime juice 1 tablespoons
Salt to taste

Method:

Clean fish well and cut into medium sized pieces, keep the heads.

Cut green chillies length wise into two, dice onions.

Place the fish in a cooking pot and add the cut green chillies, diced onions, turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups water and heat the pan in medium heat.

Let it boil until the fish is well cooked.

Now add the milk and simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove from fire and add lime juice to taste.

Serve with: rice, string hoppers
